Garnish mixing and mastering music production courses

I have been working in recording studios for nearly 20 years now and when I started, I had to put up with these things you can see on the left. It’s called an Akai S1000 sampler. It could hold just a few minutes of digital audio and that sounded terrible. I once worked with a producer who isn’t the tallest man I’ve ever known. We were working on a track with a hell of a lot of backing vocals which needed triggering using MIDI. The amount if AKAI S1000s samplers we hired were actully taller than the producer!

Now of course we have Logic’s ESX24, Native Instruments’ Kontakt and a whole load of other software based samplers where your samples can be stored on your hard drive. My collection now it approaching 1000 gig. I used to be a fan of GIGA Studio and since therapeutically throwing my PC in the bin, I’m still on the look out for something that can audition my samples as quickly.
